The San Diego Padres will hire Andy Green as their manager, according to multiple sources and reports.

Green is currently the third base coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Padres announced via Twitter they will hold a news conference at 6 p.m. ET at Petco Park to introduce a new manager.

Green, 38, played parts of four seasons in the majors before starting his coaching career in 2011.
