Zack Greinke will opt out of the three years and $71 million that remains on his contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers and become a free agent this winter.

One general manager has suggested that the right-hander should receive multiple five-year, $125 million offers with the winning bid likely to surpass the six-year, $147 million pact he signed in 2012.

Greinke will turn 32 next Wednesday, but that shouldn't keep him from getting a five- or six-year deal at more than $20 million annually.

In addition to the Dodgers, the San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Philadelphia Phillies, Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers are expected to target Greinke.
