Just hours after Rod Barajas changed agents and decided against reporting for a physical examination, the Blue Jays took a two-year, $5.25-million (all figures U.S.) contract with the free agent catcher off the table and instead reached what one source described as an agreement in principle on a two-year contract worth that could pay Gregg Zaun as much as $7 million over the next two years. GM J.P. Ricciardi would confirm the agreement in any way, shape or form. "Right now, we have no agreement with anybody," Ricciardi said.
