J.A. Happ will be a free agent for the first time this winter, but he may not be on the market long as the Pittsburgh Pirates will try to re-sign the left-hander.

"It's a team I would definitely consider, absolutely," Happ said. "Whatever happens, happens. I'm happy with where I'm at right now, and we'll see what's down the road."

Happ went 4-6 with a 4.64 ERA in 21 outings this season with the Seattle Mariners. After being traded to the Pirates at the end of July, Happ went 7-2 with a 1.85 ERA in 11 starts.

"There is interest," Neal Huntington said. "It's just a matter of how it all comes together, how it works for him and how it works for us."
