Paul DePodesta, who has served as the vice president of player development and scouting for the New York Mets since 2010, is open to becoming a general manager again.

DePodesta has helped the Mets turn things around. Sandy Alderson, New York's GM, is under contract through 2017 and some view DePodesta has his eventual successor.

However, that doesn't mean he won't interview for positions that would become available sooner.
