There may be some cause for concern surrounding Greg Holland as the Kansas City Royals ready for the playoffs.

The reliever has a 2.45 ERA and 1.78 FIP over the last month, but his velocity is another story.

Holland was throwing around 95 mph at the start of the season and peaked at 96 mph in early August. He has dipped near 91 mph as of late. His strikeout percentage was 27.3 through August 14, but it has dropped twenty percent since.

The Royals gave Holland 10 days off after he pitched back-to-back on Aug. 27 and 28 because of what Ned Yost called a "cranky arm."
