The New York Mets will skip Matt Harvey and Noah Syndergaard at least once in the rotation this month to help limit their innings.

Syndergaard will be skipped this weekend against the Miami Marlins and the Mets are discussing two dates for Harvey to have a start skipped.

Harvey has thrown 166.1 innings through Wednesday night's start. Doctors have recommended that Harvey not exceed 180 innings during the regular season as he returns from Tommy John surgery.

Syndergaard already has exceeded last year's innings count by 15.
