The National League Cy Young conversation has largely been limited to teammates Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw since the All-Star break, but Jake Arrieta's no-hitter on Sunday night may help him earn consideration.

Arrieta went 6-0 with a 0.43 ERA and allowed just 19 hits in 42⅓ innings pitched in August.

The Chicago Cubs starter has a higher ERA than Greinke's 1.61 at 2.11, but rates better than Kershaw (2.24) entering Monday's action. Wins and losses have been dismissed by many in favor of newer statistics, but Arrieta leads all of baseball with 17 wins.
