Dan Dombrowski plans to hire a general manager to replace Ben Cherington with the Boston Red Sox, but said during his introductory press conference this week that he won't rush the decision.

After speaking with multiple industry sources, Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com has come up with a list of four strong candidates for the job -- Frank Wren, Jerry Dipoto, Billy Eppler and Dan O'Dowd.
