The Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers are among the teams that have inquired with the Milwaukee Brewers about Carlos Gomez, according to Major League sources.

The Indians (23rd) and Rangers (28th) both rank near the bottom of baseball in OPS from the center-field position.

The San Francisco Giants and Houston Astros are also interested in Gomez, but the Giants may not have the prospects to make a deal and the Astros are focused on bullpen help, according to sources.

Gomez, 29, is owed $8 million this season and will make $9 million in 2016.
