The Colorado Rockies aren't usually very active in the trade market, but that could change this month since they are so far out of the playoff picture.

"I do think it's very possible the Rockies will trade Carlos Gonzalez," writes Patrick Saunders. "He's playing well again, and a contender such as the Kansas City Royals (who have lost left fielder Alex Gordon for eight weeks with strained groin) could use his power and fielding ability.

CarGo is making $16 million this year, and will make $17 million next season and $20 million in 2017. It would benefit the Rockies to get rid of his salary — even if they had to pay part of it. But trades are complicated and I really don't know what the Rockies could get in return."

Wilin Rosario, Charlie Blackmon and John Axford could also be dealt.
