The Milwaukee Brewers are beginning to prepare for the July 31 non-waiver trade deadline.

"You look at the standings and there aren't many teams where we are," scouting director Zack Minasian said. "We'd be doing ourselves a disservice if we weren't honest with ourselves about where we're at."

The problem for the Brewers is that a number of their potential trade chips are having down seasons. Aramis Ramirez, Gerardo Parra, Adam Lind and Kyle Lohse could all be moved.
