The Texas Rangers aren't close to a deal for Cole Hamels.

After a report earlier Tuesday indicated that the Rangers and Phillies were having "ongoing dialogue" regarding the left-hander, a Rangers source told T.R. Sullivan that a trade for Hamels "is not on the board" at this time.
