The Detroit Tigers won't send the struggling Nick Castellanos to Triple-A as a way to work through his issues.

Brad Ausmus says the Tigers will be patient with Castellanos, who is hitting .217/.267/.328.

"I mean, there's different approaches," Ausmus said after Tuesday's loss. "[Hitting coach] Wally Joyner and I were talking about a particular approach during the game, so we'll address that."
