The Chicago Cubs have had issues with their bullpen and defense, but are enjoying a recent run of success in one-run games.

The Cubs entered Sunday with a 4.08 ERA from their bullpen, which ranks 10th in the National League.

"We're in a lot of games, so we've got a good team," David Ross said. "We're playing one-run baseball with a lot of clubs. We're just trying to figure out, keep learning how to win, keep grinding like they did, make some great plays defensively from our guys and get great pitching in tight moments from our pitching staff."

The Cubs posted 14 victories in the month of May, 10 of them were by one run. Before the month started, they were 0-6 in one-run games.
