Miami Marlins general manager Dan Jennings will move into the dugout and become the team's manager, according to sources.

Jennings will replace Mike Redmond, who was fired on Sunday after the club fell to 16-22 following a sweep at the hands of the Atlanta Braves.

"We haven't played to our capabilities," president of baseball operations Michael Hill said. "We're hopeful that a new voice will spark and motivate our guys."
