Shelby Miller endured a rough 2014 season after breaking out the previous season. On Sunday, Miller came within one out of a no-hitter as he becomes a more complete pitcher.

Miller has introduced a slider and his strikeout rate is back over 20 percent after it dipped last year.

The Atlanta Braves acquired Miller from the St. Louis Cardinals in the Jason Heyward deal this past offseason. They'll control him for at least three more seasons.

The 24-year-old has a 1.60 ERA, 0.933 WHIP, 39 strikeouts and 15 walks in 45 innings (seven starts) this year.
