The Arizona Diamondbacks may think outside the box when it comes to using the No. 1 pick in next month's Major League Baseball draft.

UC Santa Barbara pitcher Dillon Tate, Lake Mary (Fla.) shortstop Brendan Rodgers and Vanderbilt shortstop Dansby Swanson are believed to be the top prospects in the class. However, Arizona is reportedly considering other high school players who might consider lower bonuses.

That would allow the Diamondbacks to have more bonus money for picks No. 43 and 76.
