Doug Melvin was so sure about replacing Ron Roenicke with Craig Counsell earlier this week that he sent Milwaukee Brewers owner Mark Attanasio an 18-point email detailing why Counsell had to be the choice.

Milwaukee had gone 16-40 over their last 56 games, dating back to the end of last season.

Melvin has also already sent out feelers to other teams regarding a possible sell-off if the club's fortunes don't immediate change.
