The Tampa Bay Rays have shut down Alex Cobb because of soreness in his right forearm.
Cobb's scheduled throwing session was canceled Sunday after the right-hander "just didn't feel right."
"He just didn't feel as good as he was hoping," Kevin Cash said. "Any time you're dealing with a pitcher's arm, it's obviously concerning."
Cobb has been sidelined since March 17 with forearm tendinitis.
