Rob Manfred says the recent instances of pitchers injuring themselves while batting haven't changed his opinion that the sport benefits from the two leagues playing under different rules.

Manfred said that "over the long haul, I'm a status quo person on the DH."

"I think the difference between the two leagues is a source of debate among fans, and I'm a big believer in the idea of when people are talking about baseball, it's a good thing," he added.
