The Chicago White Sox have promoted Carlos Rodon, who will make his Major League debut as some point this week.

Rodon was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2011, but opted to attend N.C. State. The White Sox drafted the left-hander third overall last June.

Chicago sent him to Triple-A Charlotte to begin this season. He struck out nine batters over six innings in his first start.

Scouts have compared Rodon to David Price. He figures to have success with a plus-slider.
