The Cleveland Indians have added depth to their pitching staff by signing Jhoulys Chacin to a Minor League contract.

Cleveland also designated Shaun Marcum for assignment, giving his roster spot to Brett Haynes.

Chacin, 27, was cut loose by the Colorado Rockies this spring in a surprising move.
