Alex Cobb left Tuesday's spring start with right forearm tightness after tossing three perfect innings.

His status for the Tampa Bay Rays on Opening Day is in doubt even though the club said he was pulled for precautionary reasons.

Cobb had an MRI and the tightness was diagnosed as tendinitis, according to the Tampa Bay Times.

"We go through pains every day," the right-hander said. "It was not excruciating pain. It was just there, a cramp."
