Matt Harvey retired all six Detroit Tigers batters he faced and topped out at 99 mph with his fastball on Friday at Tradition Field.

It was the first action for the New York Mets right-hander in 18 months following Tommy John surgery.

"Things felt so good that the fact that I did have surgery is completely out of my mind," Harvey said.
