Kenley Jansen underwent surgery on his left foot and is expected to be out eight to 12 weeks, the Los Angeles Dodgers have announced.

Pitchers and catchers are scheduled to report for the Dodgers on Thursday.

Jansen reported discomfort after running last week, and subsequent tests showed a growth on one of the bones in his foot. Doctors removed the growth Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

The 27-year-old had a 2.76 ERA and 1.13 WHIP while saving 44 of his 49 opportunities last year.
