The Yankees will celebrate the career of a former great on August 23 with Andy Pettitte Day, according to a tweet from Andy's son Josh.

Pettitte's No. 46 will be retired, and the left-hander will be honored with a plaque in Monument Park.

The Yankees have already retired 16 numbers, including eight (Yogi Berra and Bill Dickey) and 42 (Jackie Robinson and Mariano Rivera) twice, making Pettitte the 19th player to receive such an honor.

Pettitte spent 18 years in the Majors, including 15 with the Yankees, and compiled an overall record of 256-153.
