According to Ruben Amaro, four teams have made a "real" offer to the Philadelphia Phillies for Cole Hamels.

The general manager added that eight teams have "kicked the tires" on acquiring the left-hander.

The San Diego Padres, Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers have all been connected to Hamels this winter.

The Phillies are more eager to trade Ryan Howard and Jonathan Papelbon than Hamels, who would command more in return.
