Jarrod Dyson has avoided arbitration with the Kansas City Royals by agreeing to a one-year, $1.225 million contract for 2015.

Dyson is expected to be Kansas City's fourth outfielder. He can also make $25,000 for reaching 350 plate appearances and $50,000 if he's chosen for the All-Star Game, according to a report.

He earned $530,000 last season, $30,000 over the major league minimum.
