Ryan Vogelsong may be nearing a deal with the Houston Astros.

Vogelsong, who has been in talks with the club, arrived in Houston on Monday. The trip may indicate that the pitcher will take a physical.

The right-hander has been on Houston's radar. Jeff Luhnow said recently that the Astros could like to add a starter.

Vogelsong went 8-13 with a 4.00 ERA in 32 starts for the San Francisco Giants last year.
