The Seattle Mariners have agreed to terms on a seven-year, $100 million contract with Kyle Seager that includes a club option for an eighth year, according to a source.

The deal was first reported by Yahoo! Sports.

The 27-year-old set career highs in batting average (.268), home runs (25) and RBIs (96) last season.

Seager was eligible for salary arbitration and would have been eligible for free agency after the 2017 season. He made $540,000 last season.
