The San Diego Padres have posted the highest bid for South Korean pitcher Kwang-hyun Kim.

The left-hander's club, SK Wyverns, accepted San Diego's $2 million bid for the 26-year-old.

The Padres now have 30 days to sign Kim to a contract. If he remains unsigned through the negotiation period, he will return to the Korea Baseball Organization, and the Padres won't have to pay their posting fee.
