Trevor Plouffe's season is over a few days early because of a broken left forearm.

Plouffe was hurt on Wednesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, when A.J. Pollock stole third base. Plouffe's forearm banged against Pollock's knee during the attempted tag, and the Minnesota Twins infielder instantly yelled in pain.

He batted a career-high .258 with a team-high 40 doubles, 14 home runs and 14 errors this season.
