After shutting out the Atlanta Braves over seven innings on Saturday, Jarred Cosart took a shot at the Houston Astros, who traded him to the Miami Marlins in July.

"Chip on the shoulder, obviously," he said. "I didn't have a contract. I wasn't a high-paid guy, and it's kind of a slap in the face when you get traded from an organization that's one of the worst organizations in baseball over the last three years. So I just play with that extra chip on my shoulder, come here and it would be the icing on the cake if we could somehow get in the playoffs."

Cosart has won three of his five starts for Miami with a 1.64 ERA. In the past four outings, the figure is a ridiculous 0.65.

As for Cosart's feelings about the unexpected career move, he said, "I'd like to be a Marlin for the rest of my career, if that's in the cards. I know it's a business. So, that's no disrespect to the Astros, but hopefully one day I can make them get the bad end of that trade."
