Since acquiring Jon Lester from the Boston Red Sox, the Oakland Athletics have been "getting flooded" with calls about Jason Hammel.

Oakland planned to use Hammel as their fifth starter with Jesse Sanchez heading to the bullpen following the Lester deal.

However, Sanchez is a capable fifth starter if the A's decide to move Hammel, who has struggled since coming over from the Chicago Cubs earlier this month.
