Brian McCann has struggled to hit as a member of the New York Yankees.

Terry Pendleton, who spent six seasons as McCann's hitting coach with the Atlanta Braves, said during an interview with the New York Post that the catcher will "never be comfortable" playing in New York.

"New York is not Brian," Pendleton said. "That's my opinion. I knew if he chose New York, there would be more than he expected or knew about. He'll never be comfortable with that."

McCann signed a five-year, $85 million deal with the Yankees this past offseason.
