An MRI on the inflamed left ankle of Jose Abreu revealed no structural damage and rest has been prescribed.

Abreu, 27, leads all of baseball with 15 home runs in his rookie season. He left Saturday's game with a limp and was placed on the disabled list the next day.

"It is good news," Robin Ventura said. "They've done all the tests and determined it is inflammation. We just have to make sure we get that out of there."

Ventura declined to provide a timetable for Abreu's return.
