Nolan Arenado's hitting streak reached 28 games on Thursday night, breaking the franchise record for the longest run in Colorado Rockies history.

Arenado had a two-out single in the third inning. It was the only hit he had in the game against the Texas Rangers.

"I was really more worried about winning," Arenado said. "Me having the mindset about me trying to help my team out and doing my job, I think that's what made me get it."

The streak is one game longer than teammate Michael Cuddyer's 27-gamer last season.
