Starlin Castro's return to the field has been delayed indefinitely as he deals with fluid in his leg from a hamstring injury suffered on March 2.

The Chicago Cubs initially said the shortstop would be out of the lineup for seven to 10 days.

"I don't have a set date in my head right now," Rick Renteria said. "That's all based on how he's progressing. He's progressing well."

Castro says he could be out another week and that he's running at only "40 percent."

"I don't want to rush myself," Castro said. "If I can play in 10-12 games in spring training I think I'll be good for the season."
