The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced that they have extended the contracts of Kevin Towers and Kirk Gibson.

The pair, which had their 2015 options declined following this past season, are now under contract beyond the 2014 campaign.

"We're very happy with both of them," president and CEO Derrick Hall told Gilbert at the time of the option decision. "

They’re under contract and they can still be extended. It’s not a big deal. We’re all on the same page." Managing partner Ken Kendrick offered similar sentiments: "I’m comfortable with those guys. I think it’s important for them to go out and prove themselves once again. I hope and believe they’re going to be long-term Diamondback people."
