Alex Rodriguez was removed from Sunday night's game against the Boston Red Sox with a tight right calf.

Rodriguez said he hurt the calf running out of the batter's box in the third inning and felt it again on a Robinson Cano double play later.

"I'm hoping not," Rodriguez said of missing any games. "I'm hoping we caught it before it got really bad. I'll come in tomorrow, get treatment, hopefully be ready to go. I've had a calf injury before, and those are tricky, they're very dangerous. I'm hoping that I came out of the game before something really bad happened."
