Mariano Rivera blew an important save against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday night as the New York Yankees battle for a Wild Card spot in the American League.

The Red Sox were down to their final strike when Stephen Drew hit a game-tying single off Rivera. Shane Victorino won the game with a go-ahead single in the 10th inning.

Rivera, who is baseball's all-time saves leader, has blown 15 saves against the Red Sox -- far more than any other club. He has blown nine against the Orioles, eight against the Angels and six against the Blue Jays.

In 113 appearances against Boston, the right-hander has 58 saves and a 3.16 ERA.
