If the season ended Friday, the Baltimore Orioles would make the playoffs as a Wild Card in the American League.

Many are wondering whether Baltimore is headed for a rough patch because of doubts that Manny Machado can repeat his huge first half.

Machado hit .310 with 39 doubles in the first half, but there have been negative signs.

Justin Havens reports, "Machado's approach has completely fallen apart since June 1 -- he's striking out more often, walking less, swinging through pitches more often and chasing more pitches out of the strike zone."

Machado is hitting .214/.233/.321 in the month of July.
