The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed Chad Billingsley on the disabled list because of pain in his troublesome right elbow.

He made his second start of the season six days ago.

The right-hander was limited to 25 starts in 2012 after he experiencing elbow tightness in August.

The 28-year-old is 81-61 with a 3.65 ERA in eight major league seasons.
