Reggie Sanders' long battle with injuries continued, as the veteran outfielder will miss the remainder of the season with a left knee injury. The Kansas City Royals announced Friday that Sanders will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a partial tear in his left patellar tendon. Sanders, 38, will undergo surgery to fix the problem and also remove a synovial cyst from under the bottom of his left kneecap. No date is set for the procedure.
