The Orioles won their 81st game on Thursday night when they defeated the Rays 3-2 at Camden Yards.

The win ensured Baltimore of their first non-losing season since 1997, a run of 14 consecutive losing campaigns.

"There's a bigger goal in mind," Buck Showalter said. "That wasn't the goal from Day One this spring. Really, Day One of the offseason. It's watching other teams for years and saying, 'We want to do what they're doing.' We'd like to get a chair at the dance, you know?"

The Orioles are in a tie with the Yankees for first place in the American League East.
