The Red Sox traded Scott Podsednik to the D-Backs on July 31, and nine days later, he's back with Boston.
The Red Sox signed him to a major league deal on Thursday, according to a Fox Sports report.
Podsednik never reported to the D-Backs, who wanted him to play for Triple-A Reno. When he refused, the team granted him free agency.
