Since Jason Schmidt was dealt to the Giants on July 30th, 2001, the ace will gain a complete no-trade clause on the 30th of this month, as he becomes a 10 and 5 player. Schmidt is a free agent after this season, but isn't terribly interested in changing teams. "Is this a place I'd want to come back to? Yeah, in a heartbeat," Schmidt said. "I'd love to retire as a Giant. But it's not always up to me. And free agency is a thing that I had a blast doing last time (in 2001)."
