David Wright, who has a $16 million team option for 2013, is making a case for the Mets to pick up the expensive final year of his contract. The third baseman currently leads the team in batting average (.412), RBI (24), runs (29), on-base percentage (.513), slugging percentage (.626) and steals (four). Wright was asked on Monday night if he felt he'd be with New York in two years. "That's a great question. I hope," Wright said. "I'd love to get this thing turned around and headed in the right direction and I think we've done that, taking that first step. Hopefully, I'm a big part of that."
