Ike Davis continues to struggle and the Mets are no longer dismissing the idea of demoting him to the Triple-A level. "There's nothing etched in stone," manager Terry Collins said. "We will never say something's not going to happen." Davis is batting .163 in 135 at-bats. He has the second-worst average among qualifiers. He says he feels fine at the plate and noted that he's hit some balls hard recently that haven't found holes. "I don't know what to tell you," Davis said. "I'm going to play here until something happens. I really can't answer questions about that until something happens. I'm not sent down yet, so I don't know what to tell you. "If you don't play well, unless you have like a huge deal, you're not going to be up here. Until it happens, I can't really say anything."
